January marks the start of a new Young Professional Network Subcommittee and with it, the new administration for 2019. YPN celebrated another fantastic year, thanks to Corey Richardson for his leadership throughout the year and now welcomes Annette Newkirk in as the new Chair and Ari Alejo as the Vice Chair!
As we embark upon this new year, let’s not only set goals for the future but reflect on the successes and failures of the previous year with the hopes to reach our goal of being the “Best Version of One’s Self.” With this train of thought, Annette and Ari have worked diligently to ensure the 2019 YPN goals are in alignment with the strategic goals of the association, overall; yet reflective of the events that were successful, and adjustments
were made to the goals to minimize risks of failure.
Our biggest area of opportunity is to improve the member engagement on a consistent basis. Our membership has grown to almost 2,000 YPN members, yet we only have around 10 percent who consistently participate in our events and volunteer their time to
serve. Our call to action is the following:
- Better member engagement – Every new member will receive a welcome call from the YPN Hospitality Team along with an email to subscribe to our quarterly
newsletter; outlining our upcoming activities and a way to plug in immediately! - YPN Wake –Up – Monthly coffee/breakfast networking hour; hosted by our Affiliates with educational topics to help grow your real estate business.
- YPN RealMix – local Happy Hour events, offered quarterly to connect REALTORS® with other industry leaders; sharing successful business tips and industry trends.
- YPN Media Den – 1st release of a series of videos that will educate and benefit the REALTORS® as well as our consumers…stay tuned!
We hope all the Greater Tampa REALTORS® members hear our call and respond! Here’s to an awesome 2019 and many successful years ahead!
